PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:
1. Appearance: HEMC is a white or almost white fibrous or granular powder; Odorless.
2. Solubility: The H model in HEMC can be soluble in both cold and hot water, while the L model can only be soluble in cold water. HEMC is not soluble in most organic solvents. HEMC obtained through surface treatment is dispersed and does not agglomerate in cold water, and its dissolution is slow. However, adjusting its pH value to 8-10 can quickly dissolve it.
3. Ph stability: The viscosity changes slightly within the pH range of 2 to 12, and the viscosity decreases beyond this range.
4. Particle size: 40 mesh pass rate of 99%, 80 mesh pass rate of 100%.
5. Apparent density: 0.30-0.60g/m3.
6. HEMC has characteristics such as thickening, suspension, dispersion, adhesion, emulsification, film formation, and water retention. Its water retention is stronger than that of methylcellulose, and its viscosity stability, mold resistance, and dispersibility are stronger than that of hydroxyethyl cellulose.

Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC) can be widely used in suspension polystyrene, expandable polystyrene, lotion and acrylate new emulsion coatings, water-based coatings, daily chemicals, oilfield drilling, building materials, textiles, printing and dyeing, and other fields.
