Hollow Glass Microspheres
It is an extremely fine glass powder with a diameter on the micrometer scale (typically 5–150 micrometers) and is filled with inert gas (such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide) inside.
Extremely low density: Because of its hollow structure, its density is very low, making it truly "as light as a feather." Its true density typically ranges from 0.1 to 0.6 g/cm³, which is much lower than that of water (1 g/cm³) and even lower than most plastics.
Excellent thermal insulation properties: The rarefied gas inside hardly conducts heat, and coupled with the fact that glass itself is a poor conductor of heat, it makes it an excellent thermal insulation material.
Good flowability: The microspheres are perfectly spherical with a smooth surface, which significantly improves the flow and packing properties of mixtures when blended with resins or other materials.
High dispersibility: The spherical particles have low friction between them, making them easy to disperse uniformly in matrix materials.
High chemical stability: Made from inert borosilicate glass, it is resistant to acids and alkalis, does not absorb water, and exhibits stable performance.
