Zinc Stearate

Zinc stearate is a white, fine powder with the chemical formula Zn(C17H35COO)2 (CAS 557-05-1). It is a versatile, non-toxic additive widely used in plastics, rubber, coatings, and other industrial applications.

As an effective heat stabilizer in PVC processing, zinc stearate provides excellent initial color retention and prevents yellowing during early processing stages. It works synergistically with calcium stearate and other metal soaps to significantly enhance long-term thermal stability.

Zinc stearate offers balanced internal and external lubrication, reducing melt viscosity and friction against metal surfaces. This improves flowability, mold release, and surface gloss of finished products. It disperses evenly in PVC, PE, PP, and other resins without agglomeration or exudation.

Environmentally safe and non-toxic, zinc stearate contains no heavy metals and fully complies with RoHS and REACH regulations, making it suitable for food-contact, medical, and toy applications.
