Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC), chemical formula (C2H6O2) n, is a white or light yellow, odorless, non-toxic fibrous or powdered solid prepared by etherification of alkaline cellulose and chloroethanol, belonging to the non ionic soluble cellulose ether class. Due to its excellent thickening, suspension, dispersion, emulsification, adhesion, film formation, moisture protection, and provision of protective colloids, HEC has been widely used in fields such as petroleum exploration, coatings, construction, pharmaceuticals and food, textiles, papermaking, and polymer polymerization reactions. 40 mesh screening rate ≥ 99%.

1. Thickening and Pseudoplasticity Adjustment
HEC exhibits excellent pseudoplasticity under varying shear rates: Increased shear rate during mixing or application temporarily reduces viscosity, minimizing splatter and facilitating application. Upon standing, viscosity recovers, aiding coating leveling,reducing brush marks, and enhancing application efficiency
