Expandable microspheres are hollow polymeric spheres each of which comprises a thermoplastic shell encapsulating liquid hydrocarbon. When heated to a temperature high enough to soften the shell, the increasing pressure of the hydrocarbon will cause the microsphere to expand, increasing the sphere volume by 80 to 100 times.
The density of microspheres after expansion can be lower than 30 kg/m3(0.03 g/cm3) which makes them an ideal lightweight filler and a foaming agent for all kinds of plastics and rubber.

Microspheres MS4600X are small spherical thermoplastic particles. When heated, the internal pressure from the gas increase and the thermoplastic shell softens, resulting in a dramatic increase of the volume of the microspheres. The gas remains inside the spheres.

SCREEN PRINTING
Foam printing is a printing process in which special microsphere foaming ink is printed on the printing material. After entering the drying tunnel and heating, the ink foams and bulges when heated, and cools and solidifies into embossed text or patterns.
It presents a strong three-dimensional feel, similar to artificial embroidery, soft to the touch, wear-resistant, washable, and elastic.
